South Florida is a major city but most of the shipyards do not build large ships. South Florida has a lot of Mega Yacht construction and repairs work. You should know it is an expensive place to live but unfortunately the wages are really low due to the large labor pools from the Caribbean and Latin America. Many jobs in the area require you to speak Spanish. In Miami English is not the main language spoken. South Florida yacht welding jobs are Union Free and you need to negotiate your rate and all benifits(if any and that include overtime pay).
